Johnson Says Playing a Heel Helped Define Black Adam

Johnson told the audience that leaning into his heel days gave him the edge he needed for Black Adam.

He said he loved the process, loved building that corner of the DC universe, and enjoyed introducing new heroes on screen.

Johnson added that he wishes that universe well but is focused on other projects now.

Via THR:

“Oh, absolutely. I feel like not only my time as a heel in the ring in wrestling, but it was almost like the anti-hero that eventually the Rock became. I loved making Black Adam. We had a great time. Loved creating those characters and introducing other characters, as well, in that universe. Had a great time. Wish that universe well. And on to others.”
