Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43
Chadwick Boseman passed away Friday at the age of 43 at his Los Angeles home with his wife and family at his side.
A statement released by the family confirmed the Black Panther actor passed away as a result of a five year battle with Stage 4 colon cancer, where Chadwick Boseman kept the disease a secret.
This past April saw fans become concerned about Chadwick Boseman when he posted an image of himself revealing a drastic amount of weight loss.
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” said his family in a statement. “From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”’
