Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman respond to the massive Deadpool 3 spoilers that are online due to the film returning to production, with tons of set photos revealing plot details and surprise characters.
I only posted those awesome Wolverine battle images and I won’t be posting any more of the set images or spoilers (I want to enjoy the movie, too, and be just as surprised when it gets released).
However, that doesn’t mean other sites and especially social media users aren’t going to post the spoilers.
Surprises are part of the magic
Both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman addressed the Deadpool 3 spoilers in posts on their Instagram Story.
“Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds added, “Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy — and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket.”
“I love making this movie,” he said.
Hugh Jackman re-posted what Reynolds said but had some fun with the announcement crossing out “DEADPOOL.”
“What he said but – it’s a new WOLVERINE movie,” said Jackman.
Wade Wilson travels the Fox Marvel Multiverse
The untitled Deadpool 3 gets released on July 26, 2024 with Shawn Levy directing.
Also starring in the movie includes Emma Corrin as the villain; Leslie Uggams as Blind Al; Morena Baccarin returns as Vanessa; Rob Delaney as Peter; Stefan Kapicic as Colossus; Karan Soni as Dopinder; Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.
The plot is said to follow Wade Wilson as he travels the Fox Marvel Multiverse leading to encounters with the Hugh Jackman Wolverine and others. Rumors include Patrick Stewart will be back from the X-Men movies along with Halle Barry and Ian McKellan, and more.
