Bryan Cranston Denies Involvement In Batman Vs. Superman For Lex Luthor On Howard Stern

Bryan Cranston recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show where the actor denied all involvement in Batman Vs. Superman.

Cosmic Book News was told that Bryan Cranston had been cast as Lex Luthor back in August of last year.

Warner Bros. recently announced that Jesse Eisenberg is playing Lex Luthor.

Here is the text from the show:

Howard Stern: Tell me if this is true.

Bryan Cranston: What?

Howard Stern: New Superman movie. You were being considered for Lex Luthor. True or False.

Bryan Cranston: In the minds of fans, it’s true. In the minds of the hierarchy of Warner Bros., it’s not true.

Howard Stern: Were you involved at all? Were you ever considered? Did anyone ever contact you.

Bryan Cranston: No. I was not involved in any of that whatsoever.

Howard Stern: What a great role that would be for you.

Bryan Cranston: Oh, Oh. I would have…

Howard Stern: You would’ve nailed it.

Robin: That would have been a “20?”

Bryan Cranston: That would have been a “20,” I think so.

Howard Stern: We haven’t seen the script, but Lex Luthor. I don’t know why I think this, but I think you would be the guy to play Lex Luthor.

Bryan Cranston: I think it came to people’s minds because they thought, “Well, Lex Luthor historically is bald. Who else is bald? Ah. Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad.” So it didn’t take tremendous amount of imagination. Who’s menacing and bald?

Bryan Cranston is currently playing Lyndon B. Johnson on Broadway for the play “All The Way,” and can be seen in the upcoming Godzilla movie in May.

Director Errol Morris also recently revealed that Bryan Cranston will be featured in his movie, “Holland Michigan,” which may film this Summer in Michigan. The role for Cranston is described as a black comedy where Cranston’s wife suspects her mild-mannered husband of being a serial killer.
