Netflix’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed live-action series has found another lead.
Lola Petticrew will star opposite Toby Wallace in the streamer’s adaptation of Ubisoft’s hit video game franchise.
Co-Lead Role Kept Under Wraps
Petticrew’s exact role hasn’t been revealed, but they will play a series regular and co-lead in the high-stakes adaptation.
The Assassin’s Creed series centers on the long-running secret war between two rival factions—one trying to control the future of humanity, the other fighting to protect free will.
While the games have explored different eras, this new version will feature original characters and is expected to explore a new time period, with Italy confirmed as one of the settings. Production is slated to begin in 2026.

Creative Team and Franchise Background
The show is being developed and run by Roberto Patino and David Wiener, who also serve as executive producers alongside Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones (Ubisoft Film & TV), and Matt O’Toole. The series stems from Netflix’s content deal with Ubisoft announced in 2020.
Since debuting in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has sold over 230 million copies, making it one of the best-selling video game series of all time.

Petticrew’s Career Momentum
Petticrew recently earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for FX’s Say Nothing and previously won Best Lead Actress at the Irish Film & Television Awards. Their breakout performance opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the indie drama Tuesday drew early attention, and they’ve since led Channel 4’s adaptation of Trespasses and wrapped Hulu’s upcoming series Furious.
They are repped by CAA, Range Media Partners, B-Side Management in the UK, and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
Deadline first reported on the news.
