Anya Taylor-Joy Updates Glass & New Mutants Movies

Anya Taylor-Joy is probably one of the current hottest young actresses in Hollywood.

Following breakout performances in The Witch and Split, Anya Taylor-Joy returns for the Split sequel, Glass, and stars in the highly anticipated upcoming X-Men movie, New Mutants.

Hey U Guys caught up with Anya Taylor-Joy at the premiere of her latest movie, Thoroughbreds, where she offers an update on both Glass and New Mutants.

“We just started filming [Glass], and it’s all going so well and everyone is so lovely and so excited to be doing this,” Anya Taylor-Joy  said. “We all are very aware that we are making something really special. [Director M. Night Shyamalan] has done such an incredible job with the script that we are all coming in and elevating our performances here every single day and it’s just really fun.”

Regarding X-Men: New Mutants where she plays Illyana Rasputin / Magik:

“I think the nicest thing about it is Josh Boone, our director, is such a fan of the comic books and he really loves them so much that he is really interested in that we do the comics justice for the people that love the characters,” Anya Taylor-Joy  said. “We all feel so lucky to be such incredible loved characters, so whilst it’s a departure from the X-Men movies, the fans won’t be disappointed. We’ve definitely kept the important bits in there.”

New Mutants hits April 13, 2018; Glass has a January 18, 2019 release.
