It’s reported Marvel has cast a major new role for their Ant-Man and the Wasp movie with Hannah John-Kamen.
Variety reports the news that the Black Mirror actress joins the MCU, though her role is presently unknown.
Hannah John-Kamen joins Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michael Pena returns as Luis.
Hannah John-Kamen will also be featured in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One movie and the new Tomb Raider.
Ant-Man and the Wasp has a July 6, 2018 release directed by Peyton Reed.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it’s been said Wasp will have her full powers and that Ant-Man gets a new suit.
Ready Player One is a sci-fi adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg, and gets released on March 29, 2018. Based on Ernest Cline’s 2011 novel of the same name, the movie is set in the year 2045, where much of humanity escapes the bleak real world by immersing themselves in the OASIS, a vast virtual reality universe. The story follows Wade Watts, a young gamer who joins a global contest to find a hidden Easter egg left behind by the OASIS’s late creator, James Halliday. The winner will gain control of the entire virtual world and its immense fortune. As Wade, under his avatar Parzival, teams up with other players, he must outsmart the powerful corporation IOI, which seeks to seize the OASIS for itself. The film is packed with pop culture references, intense action sequences, and a nostalgic celebration of video games and 1980s pop culture.
Tomb Raider is a 2018 action-adventure film directed by Roar Uthaug, based on the 2013 video game of the same name. The film gets released on March 16, 2018, the movie stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, a fiercely independent young woman who embarks on a dangerous quest to uncover the truth about her missing father, Lord Richard Croft. Determined to solve the mystery, Lara travels to a remote island where she faces deadly traps, ruthless mercenaries, and the legendary tomb of Himiko, an ancient queen with a terrifying secret. Unlike the previous Tomb Raider films starring Angelina Jolie, this version offers a grittier, more grounded take on Lara’s origins, showcasing her transformation into the iconic adventurer fans know from the video games.
