Following the Comic-Con reveal of a brighter colored Superman costume from the Hot Toys figure, now a promo image from a Justice League calendar has surfaced online offering a more realistic look at Henry Cavill from the movie.
WB appears to have listened to fans as the new Justice League Superman costume is not as dark as the suit from Batman vs. Superman and Man of Steel, which may also hint at a new direction for Superman. It’s speculated when Superman returns in Justice League that he will be more positive and hopeful than how Zack Snyder portrayed him in the previous two DCEU movies, and the brighter colored suit seems to reflect that.
Fans are also hoping to see Henry Cavill in the black Superman costume in Justice League. The good news is that a recent description for a Superman figure may have offered a clue that the black Superman costume is happening.
In addition to Justice League, Henry Cavill will also be appearing in Man of Steel 2, which is said to be in development and possibly in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam movie. The director of the Shazam film also recently teased Shazam vs Superman in a pretend script.
Henry Cavill has also been the center of controversy surrounding not being able to shave for Justice League reshoots for his role in Mission Impossible 6.
“Justice League” has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.
