Yesterday saw Todd McFarlane offer up that the first draft of the Spawn movie script is complete.
McFarlane says in the below video that getting the Spawn movie script finished is one step closer to getting the movie made.
Todd McFarlane notes he has had over a dozen people approach him about his Spawn movie, which he says is an R-rated horror film.
Todd McFarlane does say that the Spawn movie getting made isn’t guaranteed at this point, but now that a draft of the script is finished, they can put it out there and see if there is any interest.
The video also features a page from McFarlane’s Spawn script featuring Twitch, the detective.
McFarlane’s original Spawn script came in at 180 pages, which at a page a minute is too much for Hollywood; the latest draft is around 136 pages, so McFarlane says he has to cut it down to around 120 pages, which would equal about a 2 hour movie.
Todd McFarlane is also hopeful they will have definite Spawn movie news around the time of this Summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.
