Last night saw another good episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and Ghost Rider.
As Fitz, Coulson and Robbie get trapped in another dimension, the Ghost Rider seeks a new host and finds it in the form of Mack. I think we all knew something was up when Mack hopped on the motorcyle with the shotgun strapped to his back, which seemed a homage to the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider in the comics (I was just waiting for the shotgun to spew hellfire!).
You can check out the scenes below where Mack first changes into Ghost Rider, and then Robbie makes a new pact with the Ghost Rider (demon?!) and they rejoin. Some interesting things came out of what happened with one being that Mack is in "pain," and when questioned about it by Skye shook it off by saying he is just having a bad day. Then when Robbie made the new deal with Ghost Rider, Robbie told Ghost Rider he would help Ghost Rider settle his score – "all of it," which I took to be Hell-related.
The addition of Ghost Rider has really turned around the series. I think the reason is from the fact that it's pretty much what comic fans expected all along, which SHIELD failed to deliver until now: a true and respected comic book adaptation with a good character and storyline. Sorry, ABC (and IMAX), we're just not into the Inhumans. We already have the X-Men.
