Marvel Comics is teasing a new Midnight Universe, and it looks like the publisher may be setting up a horror-focused corner tied to its darker supernatural characters.
Marvel released the teaser with the tagline, “The light had its turn,” along with the announcement that MIDNIGHT is “a terrifying new universe” coming in Fall 2026.
Marvel says more information will be revealed next week, including the new publishing line’s series and creative teams.

Could This Connect To Midnight Sons?
Marvel has not confirmed a Midnight Sons connection, but the name immediately brings those characters to mind.
The Midnight Sons brand has long been tied to Marvel’s horror and supernatural roster, including characters such as Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Morbius, Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Doctor Strange, and others depending on the lineup.
The teaser does not name any characters, so this could be something completely separate. It could also be a new imprint, alternate universe, or horror-focused publishing line that uses Marvel’s supernatural characters in a different way.
For now, Marvel is only calling it MIDNIGHT.
Worth noting: a Midnight Sons project has long been rumored for the MCU, and Marvel Comics has become a testing ground for ideas that eventually make their way to the screen, so again, this could be Midnight Sons-related.
