Zack Snyder shared a special message for Henry Cavill who has returned as Superman.
Snyder directed the actor in Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, and Justice League.
Henry Cavill recently returned as Superman in Black Adam and confirmed his return in a video released for social media.
Wednesday night he appeared in NYC and chatted for an hour with Josh Horowitz at 92nd Street Y.
Horowitz surprised everyone including Henry with a message from Zack Snyder who first directed Henry in Man of Steel.
“I can’t wait to work with you in the future and you are, of course, the greatest Superman,” said Snyder.
Cavill replied, “He’s a lovely man, and I am enormously appreciative for everything he’s done for me. Those are formative memories of mine, career-wise. It is when everything changed. I remember them fondly. Zack if you are watching, thank you, my friend.”

A lot might be planned for Henry Cavill’s return as Superman
It has also been reported that Man of Steel 2 is in early development with Charles Roven attached to produce.
A search is currently underway for writers, and nothing has been said about a director, but maybe Snyder is interested?
Recall how DC insiders told me when I was at Comic-Con in July not to count Zack out just yet.
I was also told Henry Cavill could return as Superman if he wanted to, which happened, and I was also told Dwayne Johnson was interested in taking over the DC films universe, which didn’t happen.
What happened is that James Gunn is now in charge of the DCU along with his producer buddy Peter Safran.
It has been reported by the trades that everything under DC moving forward will fall under Gunn and Safran except for the Todd Phillips Joker movies and the Matt Reeves The Batman projects.
Gunn also turned down Superman in favor of going with The Suicide Squad when he came over to DC.
Maybe part of Dwayne Johnson and James Gunn’s DC plan is to bring back Zack Snyder with Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel 2?
Zack has taken a lot of flak over the years for Man of Steel, particularly with all the violence and the killing of Zod at the end of the movie.
At tonight’s event in NYC, Cavill said he is looking forward to an “enormously joyful Superman,” so maybe Snyder will get a second chance to make things right.
It has also been said Henry Cavill will appear as Superman in The Flash next year.
