Justice League Mortal was back in development in 2007 and was set to start filming in Australia when it was unfortunately canceled.
From left-to-right, Justice League Mortal starred Armie Hammer as Batman, DJ Cotrona as Superman, Adam Brody as The Flash, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter and Common as Green Lantern John Stewart. Not pictures includes Zoe Kazan as Iris Allen, Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul and Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord.

Armie Hammer on Batman: Â
âIt was darker⊠It was⊠You know itâs funny. It was pre-Christian Bale, but the Christian Bale Batman had a lot more in common with it than any of the previous ones like whether it be the George Clooney, the Michael Keaton, all those which were almost campy. This one is about a guy who is severely psychologically almost deranged. It was dark, and it was really intense. This guy had major trust issues, you know the whole thing. It was a great concept and a really cool idea.âÂ
Hammer also previously described the Batman suit:Â âI put on the whole suit. Weta made our suit. It was all functioning. It had like carbon fiber, and it had like pistons and gears that would function. It was amazing! It was like a exoskeleton suit.â
On the Superman vs Wonder Woman battle (Jay Baruchel also talks about it here):
âSuperman and Wonder Woman had the most brutal fight with each other that youâve ever seen. It would be like if two superheroes actually would fight. They destroy multiple cities, like by accident because they donât see anything else other than trying to destroy the person in front of them, and it was incredible. I mean at one point they destroy an aircraft carrier by accident.âÂ
On Maxwell Lord:
âAlso the death count was going to be extremely high. Maxwell Lord has this fast food chain, imagine like it would be McDonalds, but inside all the food that he has been preparing for people, heâs putting nanobots, and this is back when no one knew about nanobots. So everyone is consuming this food like an addiction, because he is putting this sh-t in it to make them addicted to it, too, and then they are consuming these nanobots. Then at one point, he pushes a button thatâs like âactivateâ â and these nanobots literally kill almost every person that has eaten his food and turn them into these cyborgs. Then all of a sudden you have to fight all these nanobot humans who are programmed to kill all these guys.â
On Martian Manhunter:
âThey also had Martian Manhunter in it who was played by Hugh Keays-Byrne. He was amazing.â
