‘Superman’ Set Images Reveal Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, Daily Planet Characters

James Gunn continues filming a big Superman movie scene in Cleveland where additional set images and video reveal Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and the characters making up the Daily Planet newsroom.

It’s guesses that some sort of alien attack is happening in Metropolis which sees the David Corenswet Superman answering the call along with Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific.

It’s also known the military are on the scene along with Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor whose LuthorCorp apparently has a government black ops contract of some sort.

It’ also revealed that among all the Easter Eggs featured, which includes references to Batman, The Flash, and more, that a street in Metropolis has been named after comic book writer Mark Waid who wrote “Kingdom Come.” Gunn is using the Kingdom Come “S” symbol for the Corenswet costume.

Making up the Daily Planet newsroom includes Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, and Christopher MacDonald as Ron Troupe. Check out those pics on X.

Flies into theaters on July 11, 2025

James Gunn’s Superman gets released on July 11, 2025.

The film also stars Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, María Gabriela De Faría as the Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Terence Rosemore as Otis. Milly Alcock is also thought to be debuting as Supergirl prior to her own movie which gets released in 2026.

DC describes the movie as as telling the story of the Man of Steel’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.

Superman is the true foundation of our creative vision for the DC Universe,” said James Gunn in the DCU announcement. “Not only is Superman an iconic part of DC lore, he is also a favorite character for comic book readers, viewers of earlier movies, and fans around the world. I can’t wait to introduce our version of Superman who audiences will be able to follow and get to know across films, movies, animation and gaming.”
