Crews continue to prep Cleveland, Ohio for filming on the new Superman movie, where James Gunn will be including Easter Eggs referencing Batman, The Flash, and more.
We’ve already seen a first look at the Daily Planet, some sort of military base, a Metropolis bookstore, and the Kent farm house.
Now users on social media have revealed more set pics from Cleveland.
Daily Planet and Metropolis:
We get more about the Daily Planet where a banner on the street shows the classic-looking logo.
Another banner reveals that Metropolis is a pretty old city having been established in the year 1645 — not sure where Gunn came up with the year, any ideas?
Batman Easter Egg:
Another set pic shows off The Wounded Duck, which is actually a reference to Tim Drake, the third Robin to Batman.
In The New 52: Futures End #20, Tim Drake fake his death, is no longer Robin, and goes by the name Cal Corcoran who owns a bar/restaurant called The Wounded Deck. Well, Lois Lane happens to find him after investigating a mystery box she received after Green Arrrow’s funeral.
So in the issue, Lois tried outing Tim Drake and eventually outed Shazam as being an impostor Superman.

The Flash Easter Egg:
Regarding The Flash reference, set photos reveal Jitters Coffee Company which is a chain of coffee stores in Central City, the hometown of Barry Allen, and it’s where Iris West worked.

Maxwell Lord Easter Egg:
Last but not least is a set photo revealing James Gunn taking care of his bro, Sean Gunn, whom he cast as Maxwell Lord in the DCU.
The set pic shows a Maxwell Lord Easter Egg as as “Lordtech” is featured as what appears to be an electronics company.
The same sign also seems to reference artist Frank Quitely, the artist on All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison.
It’s unknown if Sean Gunn’s Maxwell Lord will appear in Superman, but the character will be popping up in the DCU.
