Confirmed: Exorcist Believer On VOD In Time For Halloween

Confirming exactly what I said, it’s learned The Exorcist: Believer will be available through VOD right in time for Halloween.

The Exorcist: Believer will be available digitally on October 24, a week before Halloween and just 18 days after the flick’s release in theaters, which might be a new record.

The Exorcist: Believer opened up at the box office less than expected with $26 million.

Its second weekend is expected to crumble as 99% of ticket sales are for Taylor Swift.

The film has also been panned by critics on Rotten Tomatoes with a 23% score, and the Audience Score is at 58%.

It’s also been said as a result of the failure of The Exorcist: Believer that the sequels are getting retooled and that writer/director David Gordon Green might get the boot.

Universal paid $400 million for the rights to the franchise and hoped the new movie developed by Blumhouse would lead to big excitement and kick off a successful new start.

However, instead of excitement, things backfired, as it was learned the movie isn’t any good and even comes with a political message aimed at fans of the original, arguably the best horror movie of all time.

The Exorcist: Believer brought brings back original actress Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil where she is asked why she wasn’t involved with the exorcism of her daughter from the first movie.

She replies, “My opinion? Because I’m not a member of their damn patriarchy.”

Fans are tired of the BS

Fans are tired of the agenda-driven political messages in their entertainment, as project after project with said message has failed.

Just as of late, Marvel is feeling the heat as Daredevil: Born Again is getting rebooted, Marvel’s TV direction is changing following the failure of Secret Invasion, and most of Marvel’s Phase 4 and Phase 5 hasn’t been any good (warned you all this was happening over four years ago).

The Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, is now anticipated to be the next failure.

Star Wars is similar, as Disney hasn’t put a new Star Wars movie into production since The Last Jedi, and Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed Disney is pulling back on both the Star Wars and Marvel brands.

Doctor Who has also gone through its own problems as the Chris Chibnall and Jodie Whittaker era saw ratings take a nosedive. Now Russel T Davies is returning as showrunner who has brought back the super popular David Tennant Doctor Who leading into Series 14.

The list goes on and on with Ghostbusters, Lightyear, Cowboy Bebop, Kevin Smith’s He-Man, The Matrix, Wonder Woman 1984, Black Widow, etc. etc. etc.
