Capcom officially unveiled Mega Man: Dual Override during The Game Awards 2025, confirming the long-awaited return of the Blue Bomber. The new title is the 12th mainline entry in the franchise and is set to launch in 2027 across consoles and PC.

The reveal trailer showed Mega Man materializing in a glowing teleport chamber before cutting to fast-paced, side-scrolling action that stays true to the series’ classic roots while adding modern visual flair. Watch below.

Mega Man: Dual Override is a brand-new action platformer developed by Capcom, marking the franchise’s first mainline entry since Mega Man 11.
While Capcom hasn’t gone deep on story details yet, the trailer emphasizes classic run-and-gun gameplay, tight platforming, and high-energy boss encounters.
The game arrives as Capcom prepares to celebrate Mega Man’s 40th anniversary in 2027. The original game debuted in 1987, and the franchise has since sold over 43 million units worldwide.
