Marvel has released a first look at footage from What If…? Season 3 featuring the Captain America mechs from an untitled episode.
Captain America Mech Takes Center Stage
The first clip gives fans a glimpse of towering mechs donning Captain America’s iconic red, white, and blue designs with the classic shield. They’re set take take on a giant monster who commands an invading army.
Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson controls the first mech and says, “This isn’t an infestation. It’s an invasion.” The second mech could be Black Panther. They’re also battling the Hulk as the episode title has been revealed to be “What If The Hulk Fought The Mech Avengers?” See episodes titles below.
The clip offers a tease that in this universe, the Marvel heroes don powerful mechs to take on kaiju. Perhaps it’s a world without super powers and no super soldier serum where the mech drivers are the superheroes.
