Netflix previews a new Little House on the Prairie

The teaser introduces the Ingalls family as they leave behind everything they knew for a new life on the prairie. Netflix says the series centers on what “home” really means as the family faces the struggles and rewards of frontier life.

Alice Halsey stars as Laura Ingalls, with the character described as bright, strong-willed, curious, and fearless. Laura remains the heart of the story as a young girl growing up in the American West in the 1800s.

Netflix’s version appears to be aiming for a broader and more dramatic take on the source material while still keeping the family-focused core that made the books and original TV series so popular.
