Olga Kurylenko confirms her return in Marvel’s Thunderbolts as she returns from Black Widow as Antonia Dreykov, the female version of Taskmaster.
Amid backlash from the MCU zombies, recall how I correctly predicted Taskmaster would be female in the Black Widow movie, which fits with Kevin Feige’s approach to Phase 4 and beyond that is all about being woke.
Thunderbolts all about the females
Speaking of being woke, the trend looks to continue in Thunderbolts as apparently Florence Pugh is the star of the movie and Thunderbolts is more or less a sequel to Black Widow. Pugh was also used to first promote the flick in that BTS video.
A rumored actor/character list also says the women in the movie are the stars led by Yelena and Val, with The Sentry listed third, followed by Ghost and Taskmaster, with US Agent, Bucky, and Red Guardian at the bottom.
Rumors also offer Thunderbolts will kill off Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, where it’s guessed Florence Pugh as Yelena survives and goes on to be featured in the MCU, likely as the new Black Widow.
Olga Kurylenko returns from Black Widow as female Taskmaster
Olga Kurylenko posted the above image of her director’s chair from the set on Instagram and included the hashtags: #Thunderbolts #Antonia #Taskmaster.
In the comics, the real Taskmaster is white dude Tony Masters who has the powers to mimic any form of fighting.
“Who the hell is that guy?”
As I said about Black Widow, the Taskmaster preview footage made a point of Natasha questioning: “Who the hell is that guy?”
Just as I said, that’s because it wasn’t a guy, and of course, “woke” Marvel has Natasha questioning if it’s a “guy.”
Marvel could have simply ended the question with “Who the hell is that,” but obviously didn’t for the sake of plugging the woke agenda. Scarlett Johansson also confirmed the film was a feminist #MeToo movie.
Thunderbolts gets released on May 2, 2025 directed by Jake Schreier and stars Florence Pugh as Yelena, Rachel Weisz as Melina, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier; Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent; Olga Kurilenko as Taskmaster; David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Hannah John-Kamen returns as Ghost, with Lewis Pullman as Robert Reynolds The Sentry.
