Wrestlemania 43 Heads to Saudi Arabia in 2027

Wrestlemania is leaving North America for the first time. WWE announced that Wrestlemania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027 as part of the city’s annual Riyadh Season festival.

The event comes through WWE’s ongoing partnership with the Saudi General Entertainment Authority led by Turki Alalshikh.

WWE and Saudi Partnership

Turki Alalshikh called Wrestlemania “the biggest date on the wrestling calendar,” adding that Riyadh Season plans to stage a Wrestlemania “unlike anything the world has ever seen.”

“WrestleMania is already the biggest date on the wrestling calendar and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans around the world. As part of Riyadh Season in 2027, our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything the world has ever seen,” said Alalshikh.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer, praised the relationship with Saudi Arabia, saying GEA has been a strong partner in growing WWE’s presence in the region.

“HE Turki Alalshikh and GEA have made a massive impact on the world of sports and entertainment. They have been phenomenal partners to WWE and we look forward to working with them to bring WrestleMania 43 to new heights,” said Levesque.

Since 2018, WWE and Saudi Arabia have teamed up on major shows including Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, and Night of Champions. The upcoming Royal Rumble in January will also be held in Riyadh, airing on ESPN in the U.S. and Netflix worldwide.

Global First for Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania 43 marks the first time the event will be staged outside of the United States or Canada. WWE says the week-long celebration will continue to include Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, NXT, fan events, and community outreach efforts.

Over the past decade, Wrestlemania has generated more than $1.5 billion in economic impact for host cities, drawing fans from over 60 countries each year.

Following Record-Breaking Wrestlemania 41

The announcement follows the success of Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas this past April, which WWE says was the most successful and highest-grossing event in its history.

With Wrestlemania 43 set for Riyadh, WWE expands its biggest show into a truly international stage.
