Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi Official For WrestleMania 42 After WWE Raw Destruction

WWE has made it official. Brock Lesnar will face Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 after the former NXT Champion dropped Lesnar with a huge Fall From Grace on Monday Night Raw. WWE.com confirmed the match on March 17 following the angle that saw Femi stand tall over The Beast and point to the WrestleMania sign.

Brock Lesnar returns and chaos breaks out on Raw

The setup came after Seth Rollins and his crew opened Raw while Paul Heyman made his way out looking beaten down. Instead of backing Rollins, however, Brock Lesnar’s music hit and Lesnar stormed the ring looking for payback. WWE’s official Raw recap says Lesnar returned to target Rollins for what Rollins did to Heyman, but the moment didn’t end with Lesnar getting revenge.

Rollins got out of the ring, and then Oba Femi arrived.

That changed everything.

Oba Femi drops Brock Lesnar

Femi answered Lesnar’s WrestleMania open challenge in a big way. WWE says Oba Femi “brazenly took the call” before planting Lesnar with a shocking Fall From Grace. The official match announcement also notes that Femi put his foot on the fallen Lesnar, which WWE described as a rare image for The Beast.

WWE also released the Raw highlight clip centered on the moment Femi took out Lesnar, further pushing the angle as one of the biggest talking points coming out of the show.

WWE is pushing Oba Femi hard

What stands out is how strongly WWE is positioning Femi heading into this match. According to WWE.com, Femi has remained undefeated in singles action since arriving in December and has been running through everyone in his path.

That makes this more than just a surprise WrestleMania opponent for Lesnar. WWE is clearly framing Oba Femi as a monster in his own right, not some random challenger stepping up for a paycheck.

They are selling this as a true collision between two powerhouses.

There is already history between them

WWE is also using the Royal Rumble to add some history to the feud. The official match preview points out that Lesnar eliminated Femi from this year’s Royal Rumble match, giving Oba a ready-made reason to step up now on the biggest stage.

So this is not being presented as a one-off moment from Raw. WWE has already built in a revenge angle, and now Femi gets his shot against the man who tossed him out earlier this year.

WrestleMania 42 just got a monster match

Lesnar against Oba Femi feels like exactly the kind of WrestleMania match WWE loves to book when it wants a spectacle. WWE’s own preview calls it an “epic collision” and that is the right way to look at it.

Lesnar is still one of the most protected names in the company, and Femi just laid him out in the middle of the ring in front of everyone. That is not something WWE does lightly.
