With Wonder Woman 2 looking to start filming this month, the president and chief creative officer of DC Entertainment, Geoff Johns, offers a tease for the movie.
Geoff Johns updated his Twitter account with a new header image featuring “WW84,” which is a reference to the setting of Wonder Woman 2 as it’s set in the 1980s.
The image is also revealed to be official as it’s trademarked and copyrighted by DC.
Update: Patty Jenkins has also updated her Twitter with the same image.
Details for Wonder Woman 2 include that Kristen Wiig will play the villain, Cheetah, and it’s rumored that Chris Pine will somehow return as Steve Trevor. There is also speculation in regards to the Wonder Woman 2 title as a batch of domains have been registered which may offer insights. It’s further thought the movie will be connected to the Soviet Union and the Cold War.
Wonder Woman 2 has a November 1, 2019 release directed by Patty Jenkins starring Gal Gadot.
