Netflix has released the opening six minutes of Wednesday Season 2 during its Tudum event, offering fans an early peek at what’s to come when the show returns this summer.
Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams is back, and the tone is darker, sharper, and more chaotic from the start.

Lady Gaga has guest star role
That’s not all as the streamer brought Lady Gaga on stage to sing and dance. She’s confirmed as a guest star.
“Welcome to Nevermore, Mother Monster. Lady Gaga will guest star in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 as Rosaline Rotwood — a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday,” posted Netflix on X.

Summer Vacation, Addams Style
The premiere episode, titled “Here We Woe Again,” opens with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) narrating her “eventful summer.” She’s captured and gagged in a basement by a doll-obsessed killer, but she’s hardly shaken. In fact, this was all part of the plan.
The flashback setup reveals that Wednesday spent her break mastering her psychic powers using Goody’s book of spells. Once under control, her next obsession took hold: tracking the Kansas City Scalper, a case that’s fascinated her since childhood. At age six, she even horrified classmates with a presentation of the killer’s crimes.
A Vision Gone Wrong
When Wednesday tries to tase him, his touch triggers a psychic glitch. For the first time, Wednesday’s vision causes her to cry black tears. This malfunction, according to co-creator Miles Millar, becomes a major thread in Season 2. Her powers aren’t stable, and regaining control becomes part of the season arc.
The cold open sets the tone for what’s described as a much more twisted season. Wednesday doesn’t just react, she’s in control, making decisions with calculated coldness. But that control might be slipping, as things around her spiral faster than even she anticipates.

New Threats and Returning Chaos
The footage released so far teases more than just action. Tension between siblings, hints at school politics at Nevermore, and quick flashes of new and returning characters all suggest the mystery is far from solved. Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi) appears only briefly but his presence looms large. Pugsley shows early signs of tapping into his powers, but Wednesday isn’t giving him much guidance—yet.
As previously reported, Season 2 introduces several new faces and expands on the Addams family dynamic. Morticia and Gomez play a larger role, with Grandmama (Joanna Lumley) stepping in as a wildcard mentor. Enid, Bianca, Tyler, and Uncle Fester are back in action as well.
