Following last week's cliffhanger ending to The Flash, tonight's Kevin Smith-directed episode continues with The Flash vs. Savitar!
Actually, it was more of a one-sided fight as Savitar moved at speeds Team Flash hasn't seen before as Barry was taken across the city instantaneously!
Only with the help of Vibe and Killer Frost did Barry survive, but at what cost? Caitlin using her powers caused her full Killer Frost persona to take form, which saw Caitlin reveal to Cisco that his brother was alive in the other timeline leading to a rift between Cisco and Barry.
Killer Frost also captured Tom Felton's Julian Albert, who in turn made a deal with Barry that saw Barry quit the police force so Julian doesn't turn her in.
The episode also gave Wally West his speed powers and revealed – just what about everybody thought – that Julian is in fact Alchemy!
Kevin Smith gave us another really good episode of The Flash that also featured a rather enigmatic ending in that Savitar needs Alchemy to help him return. Regarding Savitar, what's up with his costume/suit? Could Savitar actually be lost in another dimension, but uses the suit to house whatever is left of him (my theory)? Where does he need to return from?
We'll probably going to have to wait for specific answers as next week sees the big Invasion crossover with Supergirl, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
