It is possible that somewhere down the line that we may see Tom Holland as Spider-Man taking on Tom Hardy as Venom, as Sony does still own the film rights to the Wall Crawler, and the character is only on loan to Marvel Studios.
Tom Holland, who has actually been rumored to be making a cameo as Peter Parker in the upcoming Sony Venom movie, was asked which villain he would like to tackle while appearing at this weekend’s Ace Seattle Comic-Con.
“Maybe Venom?” Tom Holland replied.
Tom Holland’s Spidey has already taken on the Vulture and is rumored to be taking on Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, in the recently revealed Spider-Man: Far From Home MCU film, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming; so at some point, Venom seems likely.
