Thunderbolts, rebranded as New Avengers, keeps trucking along and is looking like it actually has decent legs, as the flick continues to outperform Captain America: Brave New World domestically.
As I mentioned before the weekend, Thunderbolts has been outperforming Cap 4 by about 50 percent on the daily numbers. That trend is still holding and actually improved as of Monday.

Thunderbolts Outperforms Cap 4 By 80%
Thunderbolts brought in $1,884,215 on Monday for its day 18. By comparison, Captain America: Brave New World only brought in $1,032,239, meaning Thunderbolts performed more than 80 percent better.

In that 18-day timeframe, Thunderbolts has brought in $157,422,632 domestically. Cap 4? $164,579,725. However, Cap 4 opened much larger, so we see Thunderbolts is starting to gain ground and is quickly catching up to Cap 4‘s domestic box office of $200 million.

Thunderbolts has actually been outperforming Cap 4 since Day 5, and you can see how the chart above shows the widening gap, with Thunderbolts having better legs.

Discount Tuesday Could Boost Thunderbolts
Tomorrow is discount Tuesday, which could give another bump. Cap 4 only brought in $1,551,038 on its Tuesday, day 19. Thunderbolts passed that alone on Monday.
If Thunderbolts continues having good legs, it should pass Cap 4 and possibly finish around $230 million domestic by my estimation, maybe even $240 million if it gets real traction.

Thunderbolts Trails Cap 4 in Foreign Box Office
Cap 4 also finished with $214.6 million from foreign gross, while Thunderbolts is currently only at $170.7 million. The New Avengers will need to make up some ground in the international markets to have a chance to pass Cap 4‘s box office.
Captain America: Brave New World has a $415.1 million worldwide gross. It hits Disney+ next week.

Can Thunderbolts Hit $450 Million?
If Thunderbolts can somehow hit $450 million, it would be a miracle, but that is said to be the break-even number.
I actually think the break-even number is higher, but that is what is being reported.
Marvel needs a win going into Avengers: Doomsday. Fantastic Four seems to be on iffy ground, too.
