‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Will Have ‘Crazy Stuff’

Director Taika Waititi offers that Thor: Love and Thunder will be even bigger and crazier than its predecessor, Ragnarok.

While talking about his latest movie, Jojo Rabbit, Taika Waititi filled in Entertainment Weekly the following about Thor: Love and Thunder:

The next Thor film I’m doing, basically, we’re sort of launching ourselves again on this an adventure film, really. That was the thing really that I loved about doing Ragnarok was it felt like we were just putting Thor on a really cool adventure. There’s always like new things to see and do, and this one, I think we’re gonna double down a lot on that and have it bigger and bolder and brighter. There’s just gonna be some really crazy stuff in the film.

Thor: Love & Thunder bigger, bolder, brighter

Recall that Ragnarok had that bright and colorful vibe to it which featured the Hulk and Thor on Planet Sakaar, which was an adaptation of the Marvel Comics “Planet Hulk” storyline, albeit a much goofier adaptation, so things look to continue for Love and Thunder as the flick’s logo seems to reveal.

There is no doubt that Ragnarok was a big success as it brought in the most of any Thor movie at the box office with over $853 million worldwide, compared to Dark World‘s $644.7 million and the first flick’s $449 million.

Though goofy, I have even found enjoyment in Ragnarok, though I do wish they would have handled the Hulk and Korg a bit better, but at least the movie was a lot better with handling the Hulk than what Feige did with the Hulk in Avengers: Endgame.

Rumors are offering that Hercules might be in the flick, and Chris Pratt has also teased an appearance by Star-Lord.

Waititi also recently touched upon Fat Thor and adapting the Female Thor storyline.

Thor: Love and Thunder has a November 5, 2021 release also starring Natalie Portman, with Emma Thompson as Valkyrie searching for her new queen of Asgard, and Korg also returns.
