The Boys Season 4 Trailer Is Here Full Of Madness

Amazon Prime Video has released The Boys Season 4 trailer starring Karl Urban who returns as Butcher and Antony Starr who is back as Homelander.

The official Twitter account teased the trailer release on Friday.

“You’re gonna open this app to watch the S4 teaser trailer. It’s full of nothing but rainbows and butterflies. Who are we kidding, it’s full fuckin’ madness after this first frame,” tweeted the account.

Watch below. It has also been announced a spinoff set in Mexico is in the works starring Diego Luna and Gael GarcĂ­a Bernal.

What is The Boys Season 4 about?

With the previous release of the Butcher and Homelander posters, the official Twitter account offered the following details:

“While ya wait for 2024, here’s what we can say about Season 4 so far
”

  • Timeline wise, it takes place about a month after the events of the @genv finale.
  • Butcher knows about the virus. Do with that lil piece of intel what ya will.
  • Homelander will stand trial for lasering a Starlighter’s head off. Vought even made a hashtag for the occasion. #HomeFree
  • The events of Season 4 will lead into Gen V Season 2.
  • Do you need to watch both shows to understand one or the other? No. Should you? Abso-fuckin-lutely.

The upcoming season has also been said to be exploring how The Boys will take down Victoria Neuman (who also appears in Gen V) once and for all, as well as save the soul of Ryan, and it’s also confirmed Season 4 will feature a new Black Noir, with Gen V also tieing into things, as seen in the season finale.

Two new characters are known to be joining Homelander including Valorie Curry as Firecracker and Susan Heyward as Sister Sage.

The Boys Season 4 premieres in 2024 and also stars Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.

Eric Kripke is the showrunner and executive producer. Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson who created the comics are also executive producers along with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr.
