Invincible Renewed for Season 5 Ahead of 2026 Return

Invincible is officially getting a fifth season. Prime Video confirmed the early renewal for the adult-animated superhero series while also noting that Season 4 is scheduled to return in 2026.

The announcement came with casting news as well—Matthew Rhys will join the voice cast for Season 4. The series is developed by Skybound Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios and streams exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

Season 3 Breaks Records for Prime Video

The third season of Invincible has become Prime Video’s most-watched animated season to date. It’s also the platform’s top returning season among its adult animation lineup.

Season 3 earned multiple nominations, including back-to-back Primetime Emmy nods in 2024 and 2025 and a Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Animated Series. The show continues to perform well with critics, holding a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes for its third season. Previous seasons also earned “Certified Fresh” rankings, with Season 2 winning the Golden Tomato Award for Best Animated Series in 2023.

Story Based on Kirkman’s Comic

Invincible is based on the comic by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. The story centers on Mark Grayson, a teenager who inherits powers from his father, Omni-Man, and tries to become Earth’s protector. As the seasons progress, Mark is forced to make difficult choices and confront the consequences of his powers.

Cast and Crew Details

The voice cast includes Steven Yeun (Mark), Sandra Oh, and J.K. Simmons, along with Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Mark Hamill, and more.

The series is produced by Skybound Animation. Executive producers include Kirkman, Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, and Evan Goldberg. Helen Leigh and Cory Walker serve as co-executive producers.
