It’s Dec. 1 so that means The Batman is officially streaming on Netflix.
Warner Bros. Discovery has been licensing out a bunch of their Max content which includes The Batman and various DC content. Dune part 1 is also out there.
Netflix has almost 250 million subscribers compared to Max’s 95 million or so (WBD’s HBO, Max and Discovery+), so that’s obviously a lot more eyeballs on the flick.
Additional DC titles on Netflix include DC League of Super-Pets, Black Adam, Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad, The Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and Man of Steel. WB’s Godzilla movies are on there, too.
The sequel is also in development, The Batman Part II due out October 3, 2025 with Matt Reeves returning to direct and Robert Pattinson returning in the cape and cowl. The Penguin series starring Colin Farrell is also head for the Max streaming service sometime in 2024.
