In an interview with EW, Lee Jung-jae said he was surprised by the news of the cancellation but wants to see more from Leslye Headland.

“As you know, my character had died already in the first season,” Lee told EW. “So I wouldn’t have appeared in the second season if there was one anyway. But personally speaking, I really loved Leslye’s [Headland] writing. I thought that she was a great writer and director who was very talented in the storytelling, as well as creating characters and creating meaningful structures within the story. So I was actually personally really looking forward to watching a season 2 with her at the helm.”

He continued, “To hear the news, I was quite surprised personally as well.”

Lee Jung-jae added, “Honestly, I am hoping that maybe there could be changes in the future. Because you never know what’s going to happen. So on a personal level, I really hope we could get to see further stories of Leslye’s second season.”

Regarding Manny Jacinto, the actor who played the villain of the series, The Stanger, he posted an image of his character and Amandla Stenberg’s Osha seemingly teasing what could have been for a Season 2.

Osha started as Master Sol’s Padawan before seemingly joining the Dark Side.

Up next from Lucasfilm is Jon Watts’ Star Wars series, The Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are also developing The Mandalorian and Grogu movie.
