New Walking Dead Season 7 Preview Images

This week’s issue of EW has a featured cover and article on The Walking Dead Season 7.

Check out new preview images released for the upcoming season as well as the recent The Walking Dead Season  7 Comic-Con trailer.

The Walking Dead returns in October to AMC starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt.

A man who likes to be referred to as a king and carries around both a scepter and a pet tiger named Shiva? Let’s just say Ezekiel — who runs a new community known as the Kingdom — is a tad eccentric. But he will play a key role moving forward.

While most of the current focus is on Negan’s reign of terror, zombies are still not to be trifled with. Executive producer Greg Nicotero promises he’s got some tricks up his sleeve in terms of season 7 walkers, one of which you can see here.

Negan in Alexandria? That can’t be good news for the survivors when Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character shows up to take inventory of a community now under his control.

The Hilltop gave Alexandria food and supplies in exchange for getting rid of Negan. So what happens now? Jesus (Tom Payne) may have his hands full dealing with a leader in Gregory who is not really fit to lead.

Carol (Melissa McBride) was pretty much ready to call it quits when Morgan found and saved her from the Savior at the end of season 6. She will also be headed to the Kingdom in season 7, and considering her no-nonsense attitude, what will Carol make of Ezekiel?

Morgan (Lennie James) will make his way to the Kingdom this year, where he will meet the quirky King Ezekiel (Khary Payton). But the big arc for Morgan in season 7 revolves around one simple question: How will the man with the no-kill policy react now that he has killed someone?

The Walking Dead Season Season 7 Reveals Morgan, Comic-Con Banner & Confirms Trailer

It looks as if Morgan is safe in The Walking Dead Season 7, at least for the mean time.

AMC debuted a new image of Lennie James’ character, Morgan, suggesting he meets up with the group from The Kingdom. It’s also being rumored that Ezekiel is being cast, which may set up The Kingdom vs. Negan’s Saviors.

“The exciting thing about season 7 is we’re really opening it up,” EP Greg Nicotero told EW.com. “We started in season 6 by getting a sense that the world was a much larger place. We were laying the seeds for the fact that there is a very big world out there. So, in season 7, we really get a chance to explore those worlds in much greater detail.”

AMC also has the following Walking Dead banner on display at Comic-Con where interestingly enough Eugene sticks out like a sore thumb. My bet is still on Abraham, but we won’t find out who dies until the first episode of Season 7.

The Walking Dead will be in Hall H at Comic-Con on Friday at 1pm and will release the Season 7 trailer with the following confirmed in attendance: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt, and producers producers Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert. Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will moderate the panel.

Justin Kucsulain Teases The Sentry

It’s been rumored a movie based on The Sentry might be in the works, and now an actor is seemingly teasing the role.

Justin Kucsulain, who actually had a unnamed role in Iron Man 3 (played a guard), took to his Instagram account to post images of The Sentry Marvel comic books and an action figure.

“Gathered some amazing reading material today,” Kucsulain posted a week ago, adding a “wink” to the post.

Of course it’s possible Justin Kucsulain may just be having some fun with the fans and reading up on the character, but you have to admit the actor does resemble Robert Reynolds, aka The Sentry. Kucsulain also played Ethan on The Walking Dead.

The Sentry is basically Marvel’s equivalent to Superman, but with a dark twist. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing the Dark Avengers on the big screen.

Other Marvel Phase 4 rumors included Nova.

Walking Dead Season 7 Rumored To Have Filmed 11 Death Scenes

Following the disaster that was The Walking Dead Season 6 finale cliff hanger, now it’s being said that the show’s creators have filmed eleven character death scenes so as to avoid any leaks.

THR reports on this rumor, which honestly sounds like a bunch of spin (BS), but it’s said: “11 cast members involved in the scene have already filmed a death scene. The Walking Dead producers and the episode director will then work with the show’s editors and pick the character who does indeed die.”

This follows the news that both Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus have already been spotted on The Walking Dead Season 7 set when they assisted with a nearby accident — which means they obviously don’t die.

A major issue everybody had with the way the Season 6 finale went down – in addition to getting shortchanged with who Negan killed – is that news of who would be killed would become known prior to Season 7 when filming commenced.

Now it seems as if TWD producers are trying to cover as fans are super ticked off.

The Walking Dead Season 7 will pick up immediately where Season 6 left off. Want to place your bets the spoilers are kept secret? I wouldn’t take that bet, either.

Can you tell that Season 6 finale still makes our blood boil?

Henry Rollins Auditioned For Negan In The Walking Dead

It’s learned that Henry Rollins was up to play Negan in The Walking Dead, with the part going to Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Rollins spoke with Forbes revealing the comic book version of Negan was based on his likeness and revealed details about the audition for the AMC series:

Since I didn’t get the part I can tell you this. I was up for the role of Negan because Charlie Adlard, who worked on the comic book, based that guy on me and so I was a shoo-in for an audition. The internet was wild with speculation because in the upcoming season they were going to introduce the character. A woman that works in my office put my name and the character’s name into an internet search and all this speculation came up. I went for the audition and there were five pages of really cool dialogue with all these curses and it was beautiful, but I didn’t get it. I later saw a photograph of the guy who did get it and he looks almost exactly like the comic book rendering. The woman at my office watched the episode where he turns up, the dialogue that I auditioned with was in the show and she said, ‘It should have been you.’ Obviously it wasn’t or this conversation would be very different but that happened. I had to sign one of those documents where you can’t talk about it but now it’s over and done with… so yeah, I was up for that part. I get great auditions, I auditioned for stuff like Narcos too, but rarely does anything come my way. What usually comes my way is a no audition thing like The Last Heist or He Never Died that the film’s writer, Jason Krawczyk, wrote with me in mind.

‘The Walking Dead’ Third Season Teaser Revealed at E3

New Season in Critically-Acclaimed Series Premieres This Fall

Fellow Survivors,

On Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles, Telltale reveal the world’s first sneak peek at the next season of ‘The Walking Dead’ series, set to premiere this fall. It’s just a brief glimpse, and we’re not yet ready to confirm a whole lot about exactly what it means… but there’s a lot of fodder in there for speculation.

So what CAN we say about this upcoming season? For a start, who’s that guy with Clementine? His name is Javier. Yes, Clem returns and will play a key role, but this is a new story as much as it is a continuation of Seasons One and Two. Players completely new to the Telltale series will be able to jump right in without feeling lost at all, and those familiar with previous seasons will perhaps find some even deeper meaning, as we’ll be working to ensure save file decisions will carry over from the last two games if you’ve played them in the past.

When it comes to Clementine, players’ relationships with her have very much evolved over the course of Seasons One and Two. In Season One, it was all about playing a more paternal role and helping a little girl find her feet and the courage to survive in a world gone to hell. Season Two was about Clementine developing her skills and becoming more independent of the people around her. In this next season, she’s in her early teens, and has grown to be a person who is clearly capable of handling herself – someone very much on the same level as Javier, a fellow survivor who has been through hell, and has managed to remain alive as long as Clem.

Clem has also been through a lot since we left her at the end of Season Two… and depending on the paths players may have taken with her in the past, she may or may not be exactly the same person we knew back then. You’ll play as both Javier and Clementine through the course of the season, but exactly how that works is one of the exciting details we’re not quite yet ready to reveal.

We’re thrilled to be able to share this with you. Stay tuned for more info on this new season as we head towards the premiere this fall!

Norman Reedus Says F’ Yeah To Playing Marvel’s Ghost Rider

Not only does Norman Reedus look bad ass riding his motorcycle on The Walking Dead, but Reedus is also starring in a new AMC series, Ride With Me, which sees Reedus exploring motorcycle culture.

So who better than Norman Reedus to play Ghost Rider as the rights to the character have recently returned to Marvel.

“Hell yeah. It would be a blast,” Reedus said about potentially playing Marvel’s Spirit of Vengeance.“Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? F–k yeah. I’m down.”

Nicholas Cage played Ghost Rider in two movies for Sony, with UpRoxx noting Reedus is a fan.

I’ve always been a fan of the Dan Ketch version myself, hopefully with Doctor Strange launching the supernatural side of Marvel, Ghost Rider will ride once again.

Possible Spoilers For The Walking Dead Season 7 Negan Killing

Possible spoilers land online for The Walking Dead Season 6 finale and Season 7 premiere regarding just who Negan may have killed — or may not have killed.

TMZ reports Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Steven Yeun (Glenn) were riding their motorcycles in Peachtree City, GA near the set of The Walking Dead when the two came upon an accident.

It’s reported the two actors jumped into action to assist.

Obviously, the spoilers come from the fact that if Norman Reedus and Steven Yeun are on the Season 7 set of The Walking Dead, that means they survived.

The best guess as to who Negan killed is now Abraham, as anybody else would be rather lame: Rick and Carl are known to have survived judging from what Negan had to tell them; Negan probably won’t kill a female (doesn’t in the comics), and killing Eugene probably wouldn’t be the best choice as he’s not a “likable” character. Who else is there?

It is possible either Reedus or Yeun are on set for some sort of flashback scene, or maybe even the producers are keeping the cast together in an attempt to shield who actually dies.

That’s one issue a lot of fans had with the way Season 6 went out — that we would find out who dies just by the simple fact the actor wouldn’t be on set for filming. When it comes down to it, The Walking Dead Season 6 finale will probably go down as one of the worst cliffhangers in television episodic history.

“The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.
