Hawkman Coming To Arrow & The Flash Prior To Legends Of Tomorrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21466:]]

Comic-Con saw confirmation that Hawkman will eventually join DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, which makes sense as Hawkgirl is a part of the series as well.

Now it’s being stated that Hawkman will first appear in Arrow and The Flash prior to the spinoff.

Word comes from EW.com, which states the Hawkman version will be Carter Hall.

They also offered the following description:

Described as charismatic and wise beyond his years, Hawkman is a natural-born leader with an abundance of charm and confidence—well, that’s because he’s 5,000 years old. Much like the comic book iteration, Carter retains his memories of his past lives each time he is reborn, though his lover (aka Hawkgirl) is born anew. In other words, Kendra Saunders will have no idea who he is at first.

“Arrow” and “The Flash” premier the first week of October.

Sara’s Resurrection & White Canary To Be Explained In Arrow Season 4

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21463:]]

Why they ever decicided to kill off Caity Lotz is anybody’s guess, but at least she is coming back.

Now it’s confirmed Lotz’s return will first be told in Arrow Season 4 prior to her debut in the spinoff DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow as White Canary.

“The White Canary will be launched in the first few episodes of Arrow,” EP Marc Guggenheim recently made known at a press event. “4×08, our typical crossover episode, will be doing a lot of heavy-lifting in terms of getting the Legends of Tomorrow characters set up and also seeing where they are with relation to The Flash. It’s a big episode.”

Guggenheim also offered they will explain how Sara comes back.

“It’s going to be handled head-on,” Guggenheim added. “We’re doing a really great episode that really tackles the question of Sara, death and resurrection. On Arrow, nothing is easy, so it’s not as simple as dumping her in the water.”

It’s been stated that Sara comes back due to the healing properties of the Lazarus Pit, but exactly how it goes down remains to be scene as John Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn is the new Ra’s Al Ghul and is said to have “a strong point of view on” the matter.

“Arrow” Season 4 premiers Wednesday, October 7th.

Stephen Amell Responds To The Trolls (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21454:]]

Arrow star Stephen Amell runs a popular Facebook page which currently has close to 4 million followers.

The other day saw Amell post a screenshot of a comment that an anonymous person made at a Marvel shill website which saw the person blast Amell for how he runs his page and promotes various things.

This caused his Facebook page to blow up with a show of support for the actor as well as a bit of negativity.

However, Amell’s intentions were only for a little fun as the actor posted the following video on Facebook explaining things.

The trolls really don’t bother Stephen Amell all that much.

Check it out:

What I think of trolls. Tone of voice included!

Few things to understand about me, and if you’ve met me, you’d know this. A. I rarely get mad, B. I find criticism – especially wildly outsized / rambling criticism – wildly entertaining, C. Running my own page allows me to ridicule people who I deem ridicule worthy, D. It’s actually impossible to be an online bully when I’m making fun of an anonymous poster, E. We have one of the most powerful platforms on Facebook. I’ll have a little fun with it, if and when I please. xo

No Green Lantern For Arrow Due To GLC Movie

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:15832:]]

Similar to the use of the Suicide Squad, now it appears Green Lantern will not be allowed in the CW Flash and Arrow universe.

Both The Flash and Arrow have contained numerous references to Green Lantern, which also saw mention of a “missing pilot,” an obvious nod to Hal Jordan.

Stephen Amell also recently teased Green Lantern when he mentioned Coast City, and Amell previously said it would be cool to have Green Lantern and hopefully it will happen.

However, Green Lantern doesn’t appear to be happening for Arrow due to the recenly announced Green Lantern Corps movie.

THR caught up with Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim who offered: “They announced the Green Lantern Corps movie, and I’d be surprised if it didn’t include Hal Jordan. It would be great but I doubt it very much.”

It seems the execs at Warner Bros. are not allowing the movie characters to appear on the small screen (save for The Flash) as it’s known Deadshot in Arrow is off the table as well, and Blue Beetle was originally intended to be Brandon Routh’s character, but WB said there are plans for Blue Beetle so suggested Atom.

The part of Mr. Terrific will be played by Echo Kellum, known for A to Z, Rick and Morty and Sean Saves the World.

Stephen Amell Wants Constantine In Arrow Season 4

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21397:]]

When NBC cancelled Constantine, there were talks the show may move to the CW or Netflix, and Stephen Amell even offered to guest star.

While it seems everyone passed on Constantine, it’s learned Matt Ryan’s future may not be over as the Hellblazer as IGN caught up with Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle and Amell at Comic-Con who offer some hope.

“Yeah, we really want to do it,” Mericle said of having Constantine appear on Arrow. “It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about, and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.”

“Fingers crossed,” added Amell.

“But we’re really optimistic and we would love to have him,” Mericle offered.

It’s still unknown exacly why Constantine didn’t get picked up elsewhere as the series did have higher ratings than some of the CW shows. Honestly, I’m almost beginning to wonder if it’s something more to do with Warner Bros. internally and possibly either David Goyer, who seems to be out of the picture as of late, or maybe the planned Justice League Dark movie, which will feature a Constantine as well. WB already put the kibosh on the Suicide Squad on TV, maybe something similar went down with Constantine?

Stephen Amell Calls M. Night Shyamalan’s Publicist An A-Hole

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21366:]]

I’m a big fan of Stephen Amell

I can forgive him for being a Blue Jays and LA Kings fan (go Yankees, Sabres and Bills) as he seems as down-to-earth as you can get for an actor. Amell runs his own Facebook page (instead of having a PR team do it) where he regulary interacts with fans, and he supports various charities. Plus, he is the Green Arrow.

This past weekend’s Comic-Con saw Amell attend for Arrow, but something must have happened that irked him.

Amell took to Twitter to blast M. Night Shyamalan’s publicist, Kathryn Rowe (via Variety).

“What a wonderful SDCC,” Amell tweeted. “So many lovely people. Except M. Night Shyamalan’s publicist. She’s an all-timer level a–hole.”

It’s unknown what caused Amell to react this way, but it’s probably safe to say that Kathryn Rowe has failed the city.

It’s also nice to see a straight-shooter in Hollywood for a change.

Shyamalan was at the SDCC for his latest movie The Visit.

With Ciara Renee playing Hawkgirl for DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, it only makes sense we’ll eventually get to see Hawkman.

Tonight at Comic-Con saw confirmation that Hawkman will be a part of the series.

Deadline also notes Marc Guggenheim announced that the initial episodes of this season’s Arrow and The Flash will set the groundwork for the midseason series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Caity Lotz also talked about reviving her character through use of the Lazarus pit: “We’ve seen on Arrowthe people who go into the pit aren’t the same person who come out. There’s the consequences of that now, and I at least want her to go nuts off her rocker.”

Ciarra Renee offered she is preparing for Hawkgirl by: “reading all the comic books, catching up on Arrow and The Flashand boxing and martial arts.”

The CW also released an “Hero Evolution” trailer for DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow mashing footage with comic panels.

Martin).  Joe adopted Barry fourteen years ago after Barry’s mother was murdered and Barry’s father, Henry Allen, received a life sentence for the crime – though Barry maintains that a mysterious “Man in Yellow” was responsible.  Nine months ago, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark matter lightning storm that struck Barry – bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive.  But Barry wasn’t the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night.  The dark matter also created meta-humans, many of whom have wreaked havoc on the city.

With the help of his new scientist friends at S.T.A.R Labs, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), and Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanaugh), Barry begins a journey as The Flash to protect the people of Central City from these powerful new threats.  However, Barry’s mission gets sidetracked when he comes face to face with the Man in Yellow.  Barry isn’t fast enough to catch him bu in a shocking revelation the team figures out their beloved mentor, Harrison Wells, is in fact the Man in Yellow and the man responsible for killing Barry’s mother.  Harrison Wells reveals his true identity as Eobard Thawne, a man from the future who traveled back in time to kill Barry. When Barry is finally forced to confront Wells, will he be fast enough to catch him?  Or will Wells be successful in killing Barry and returning home to the future?

Recently on RAW, Amell and Rhodes (listed at 6’1 216 lbs) exchanged words, which continued on their social networks and WWE.

Rhodes got in Amell’s face on RAW, with Amell telling Stardust to tread carefeully or he’ll back back. Stardust then followed up on WWE.com calling out Amell.

Stephen Amell has been pretty vocal about how he is a big of a fan of wrestling, and that he wouldn’t mind guest hosting – or even suiting up for the squared circle.

The gossip site Hollywood Life is now saying Amell will duke it out with Rhodes during SummerSlam – and get this – that Amell may even don his Arrow persona while doing so.

Obviously, it could be just a big rumor, but it’s not unheard of for celebrities to participate in various WWE matches and shows. Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken on Triple H, and Shaq, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Snoop Dogg, Ozzy Osbourne, Jerry Springer, Flavor Flav, Mike Tyson and others have all be a part of events.

Update: Both Stephen Amell and Cody Rhodes respond to rumor. See tweets below.

Big Things Were Planned For Harley Quinn In Arrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20726:]]

What could have been…

Season 2 of Arrow featured a cameo by Harley Quinn played by Cassidy Alexa, with the deleted scene (watch below) featuring Tara Strong’s voice as well.

Now while appearing at the MCM London Comic-Con this weekend, Willa Holland, who plays Thea Queen, let it be known big things were planned for Harley Quinn in Arrow.

“We had big plans for Harley,” Willa Holland revealed, reports Flickering Myth. “But, I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down. I mean we had that tease with the pigtails and the ARGUS outfit but, we’ll never see it. We would love to [have] Harley in Arrow but it will never happen.”

Obviously, what came down was Harley Quinn being a member of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie, which is what happened with Arrow‘s version of Deadshot as well. Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim revealed a couple of months ago that Deadshot was off the table.

That’s not the only character the WB execs axed – originally, Brandon Routh’s Atom was going to be Blue Beetle, but WB said no to using Blue Beetle and suggested Atom.

It will be interesting to see what happens when The Flash movie gets going.

Robbie Amell Is On The Set Of X-Men: Apocalypse

While Robbie Amell isn’t on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, he is on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse.

It doesn’t appear as if Robbie Amell actually has a role in the film as he posts on his Instagram that he “asked 1000 xmen questions,” which sounds like something a “fan” would do.

In addition, Amell is currently in Montreal to film Nine Lives, which stars Jennifer Garner, Kevin Spacey and Christopher Walken. X-Men: Apocalypse is filming in Montreal as well.

You never know, though, perhaps Robbie Amell is killing two birds with one stone.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer starring Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Rose Byrne, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp and Oscar Issac.

Charlie Hunnam as Green Arrow Fan Art

At one time it was said there was Charlie Hunnam Flash concept art created by WB, though it never hit the net.

Obviously if that rumor was true, WB chose to go in a total different direction with Ezra Miller.

Hunnam also happens to be a fan-favorite pick to play Green Arrow in the DCCU (well, second fan-favorite pick, anyway).

Check out fan art below of Charlie Hunnam as Green Arrow created by Bosslogic, who is also responsible for some of the cool Tyrese Gibson as Green Lantern art.

To date, there has been no confirmation of Green Arrow appearing in Batman Vs. Superman or any other of the DC films, but the character was paramount in The Dark Knight Returns comic story that inspired the movie.
