Now Bryan Singer Turns Beast Into Jekyll & Hyde For X-Men: Days Of Future Past

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:13870:]]

If you have been following the news and images related to X-Men: Days Of Future Past you realize that we’ve seen images of Beast both as the mutant and as human form, played by Nicholas Hoult.

As the movie is set in alternate universes and timelines, perhaps that explained the reason for the switcheroo.

Or maybe it was some sort of tech developed by Hank McCoy to hide his Beast form.

Turns out neither is the case as Nicholas Hoult reveals the reason for seeing both versions of McCoy in the movie (via JoBlo).

What’s happened up to this point is between the time of the last movie and this movie my character has created a serum which basically controls his mutation so his appearance is normal as long as he doesn’t get worked up.  Any animal instinct or urges, that kind of brings him out.  So yeah, he changes into Beast a few times throughout the story and they’ve done some great action sequences with him this time, particularly in the mansion flying around on these chandeliers and stuff.

We see mention of a serum, which seems similar to what Beast first created to cure both himself and Mystique, but then something went wrong leading to the furry blue guy we all know and love today.

It also sounds a little Hulk-like, no?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:10285:]]

Slight spoilers perhaps, as the X-Men: Days of Future Past footage that has been released revealed Wolverine traveling back through time. Seems Professor X and Magneto team up (as seen in The Wolverine post-credit scene) to send Wolverine back in time to most likely change whatever event has them worried in the future. I believe it’s Kitty Pryde that sends Logan back.

The future part of the movie takes place about ten years from The Last Stand, I believe, with the past storyline ten or so years after X-Men: First Class.

We know that Bolivar Trask, played by Peter Dinklage, creates the Sentinel program in 1973, with more advanced versions seen in 2020.

For those a fan of the comics, Singer also said this isn’t exactly following that.

The movie features a plethora of new mutants including fan-favorite Bishop, played by Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart as Warpath, and Fan Bingbing as Blink.

Josh Helman will also play a younger William Styker (Brian Cox played the character in X2).

It’s also recently come out that Singer has brought on board X-Men writer Chris Claremont as a consultant.

Longshot Teased By Bryan Singer With New X-Men: Days of Future Past Image?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:9135:]]

Bryan Singer tweeted the following set image from X-Men: Days of Future Past where not only do we see Hugh Jackman and Nicholas Hoult in the background, but reading the license plate could hint at the mutant, Longshot.

Longshot, while technically not a mutant, is known for his “luck powers,” and was actually created in an alternate dimesion known as the Mojoverse.

It’s unknown if the car pictured is actually a prop in the movie or belongs to someone on set for the film.

The movie does feature a large number of characters from the X-Men universe, so maybe Longshot will get the luck of the draw as well.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a May 23, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, ShawnAshmore, with Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, and returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.

It’s Magneto Vs. Beast: Nicholas Hoult & Michael Fassbender X-Men: Days of Future Past Set Images

New set images from the Montreal shoot for X-Men: Days of Future Past reveal Magneto vs. Beast!

And we see Nicholas Hoult as the blue-furred Beast vs. Michael Fassbender.

A previous image revealed Hoult without the fur leading many to speculate it could be an alternate timeline version.

Looks like the Master of Magneticism ticked off the Beast in some way.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a July 14, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, ShawnAshmore, with Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, and returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.

First Look At 1970s Wolverine From X-Men: Days Of Future Past With Alternate U. Nicholas Hoult?

Bryan Singer released the following X-Men: Days of Future Past image featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy.

Singer included the following text with the image:

Welcome To 1973.

The image is rather interesting as it shows the both of them in what looks to be in a corridor under the X-Mansion?

And Hoult isn’t wearing any CGI suit for the Beast — meaning he loses the power? Can switch from Beast mode? Is an alternate universe McCoy? Has a cure?

This also shows us that Wolverine will seemingly be featured in all the different timelines, or of course, similar to McCoy could be from an alternate u. as well.

Seems to be a lot we don’t know about the movie.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a July 14, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, ShawnAshmore, with Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, and returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.

First Look At Beast From X-Men: Days of Future Past

Bryan Singer has unleashed the Beast upon us as the director posted the following image for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Included with the image was the following:

“Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster”

The image could very well be what Beast will look like in the movie or some sort of concept art.

Nicholas Hoult will be returning to reprise Hank McCoy for the movie.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a July 14, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, with Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, and returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.
