The Warner Bros. presentation is presently taking place at CinemaCon in Las Vegas which includes Superman. It’s confirmed DCU co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are at the event along with David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult.
Updates we’re getting include that the Superman CinemaCon presentation showed off a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel. New looks at Isabela Merced as Hakwgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho are shown off through set images.
“This character is noble, and he’s beautiful,” said Gunn in the video about the David Corenswet Superman. “It’s the beginning of a whole new adventure and a whole new universe.”

Superman CinemaCon updates: Gunn, Corenswet, Brosnahan, Hoult:
David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult took to the stage.
Gunn said, “Back in 2018, I was first offered Superman.. I didn’t know if I could, it seemed hard.. but it stuck with me. Then one day it hit me. Creating a story that is utterly human and fantastic.”

They described how they shot a scene walking through a field at night. The moon was shining, and the cape was flapping in the wind. Rachel Brosnahan turned to David Corenswet and said, “Dude, you’re f-cking Superman.” She also said, “There is something in it for everyone. The cool thing about Superman is that he is a cool guy who does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do and its the cool thing to do.”
“It’s a great honor to play a role that is so clearly in the public consciousness. You know what his symbol means… It feels like you’re riding a tidal wave of good vibes and creative choices,” said Corenswet. “It’s not a job. It’s the one thing you want to be doing all the time.”

Nicholas Hoult said, “My first memory is David dressed as Superman, I felt like I was witnessing the magic of cinema in first person. I had this warmth in my tummy and a stupid little grin on my face… I’m so excited to show this movie to my son, there are so many magical moments in this movie.”
Corenswet also told the CinemaCon attendees that the only other DC character he would play is Batman. Gunn also teased “pocket universes” in the DCU.

Corenswet continued and said his hope for the Superman movie is that fans “want to see it again.”
“My favorite movies are the ones where you come to the end and you think back to the beginning of the film.. I want to go through that ride again and again,” said Corenswet.
A new scene is being shown for CinemaCon… James Gunn accidently called CinemaCon, Comic-Con, then said, “CinemaCon is much much better than Comic-Con.”
