Prince William & Harry Get Star Wars: Episode VIII Cameo Roles; Includes Benicio del Toro

A few days ago saw Prince William and Prince Harry visit the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Now it’s learned the royal pair participated in a scene which saw the two don Stormtrooper suits.

The UK’s Express received word the scene also involves Benicio del Toro.

Prince William and Prince Harry were surprised by director Rian Johnson who had them suit up as Stormtroopers where they played the parts alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Benicio del Toro. The scene is said to involve Rey and Finn infiltrating a secret base.

“The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry,” a source told the site.

It’s unknown if the scene will make the final cut, but it possibly suggests Benicio del Toro might be playing a good guy as he could be teaming with Rey and Finn. Of course, another possibility is that Rey and Finn have been captured by Benicio del Toro, and the Stormtroopers, played by Prince William and Harry, are there to assist. It’s rumored Benicio del Toro is playing a villain named Lord Vikram.

The report also says Prince William kept in his Stormtrooper guise as he gave a birthday cake to a member of the crew.

“The guy said it was surreal, being presented with a birthday cake by the future King of England who was dressed as a Stormtrooper,” the soure offered. “The Princes had a great time and could not have been more relaxed and friendly to everyone on set. It’s obvious they are genuine Star Wars fans.”

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” has a December 16, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars: Episode VIII Luke Skywalker Scenes Rumored

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23934:]]

A batch of rumors for Star Wars: Episode VIII involving scenes with Luke Skywalker have hit the net.

These come from a Star Wars fan site out of Italy that claims someone-in-the-know has seen concept art and/or storyboards revealing the scenes.

Obviously it’s not known how legit the info is, but the scenes sound pretty cool as they involve Luke Skywalker teaming with Rey against Kylo Ren and probably Benicio Del Toro’s character, who is said to be a villain of the movie (probably saving Snoke for Episode IX à la Return of the Jedi).

Translated via Bing:

In the scene we have Luke and Rey. The two, in the rain, they seem committed to training with Lightsabers, Luke with the historic green and Rey with that blue, belonged to his new master and even before Anakin Skywalker. The planet is the sameon which we find Luke in “the awakening of the force” (as revealed by Pablo Hidalgo, the planet is called Ahch-to). The clothes are very similar to those of the conclusion of the film.

Translated via Bing:

The scene is called ‘ epic ‘, although the realization of designs appeared simpler than its predecessor. Turning to thedescription: war scene. It is sunset. The planet seems to be the same on which we find Maz Kanata in “awakening of force”but with a Palace/Temple much bigger. (we can assume that the Palace/temple to Yavin 4? The similarity between the planets is there, the Palace/Temple more just as large). The war is raging and the resistance (or at least an entity comparableto it) is clearly struggling, on the verge of defeat. Chewbacca is at an angle to secure a figure wound, while seems to launchof shout. Kylo Ren is on the battlefield with the usual three-blade lightsaber but with him we find another character armed with a lightsaber red (another Knight of Ren? Recall that Benicio del Toro has effectively confirmed, repeatedly, be involved in the film and some rumor would seem to indicate a villain).

Near the figure of Kylo Ren there is a Post-It says ‘ stronger than ever . You see an incoming ship, whose door is coming down, harassed by the fire of the Stormtrooper. On the tailgate there are Luke Skywalker and Rey who, by using force, pushing away the soldiers of the first order. Dropped on the battlefield begins comparing with Kylo Ren and the second obscure figure.

In this sequence Luke seems to have a different look, with hair and beard more manicured and similar to that of the lastpicture we see Mark Hamill. The clothes seem to recall those of Obi-Wan in episode I except to have the sleeves and a whiterobe.

Star Wars: Episode VIII has a newly announced release date of December 15, 2017 directed by Rian Johnson.

Exclusive: Al Pacino In Talks To Play Grandmaster In Guardians of the Galaxy 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18216:]]

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:18217:]]

Back in August, Al Pacino stated he absolutely loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which he found to be a “most entertaining, inventive, beautiful film.”

Pacino even said he would consider doing Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or any other Marvel movie.

Back then, I guessed Al Pacino could play The Grandmaster, a fellow Elder to Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector.

Now it’s learned that Al Pacino has taken a meeting with Marvel as Pacino appeared on Josh Horowitz’s (of MTV) Happy Sad Confused podcast where he revealed he has spoken with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

While Pacino didn’t state which role they discussed or whether he will be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, our “mysterious” cosmic benefactor who first told us about the Stan Lee Guardians of the Galaxy cameo as well as Nova not being in the movie and details on Ronan, The Collector, Xandar and additional scenes has said my guess was right on the money.

Obviously, James Gunn is still writing the script for Guardian of the Galaxy 2, so anything could happen and Pacino could be up for any other role, but Gunn did state new characters would be featured, and Pacino definitely fits the part.

The Grandmaster even once possessed the Mind Gem, but lost it to Thanos.

Here is what Pacino had to say on the podcast:

“It’s a Marvel how these things happen,” Pacino joked. “But with [Guardians of the Galaxy], I was taken up. It was inventive, funny, strong in sound and music, the production of it, the ingenuity of it… I was really impressed.

“Why wouldn’t I like a movie like that? Why wouldn’t I appreciate a movie like that?” Pacino continued. “I’m not necessarily going to be in it, but at the same time, there’s value to it, and you can see it.”

Pacino then stated the following when asked whether or not he thinks anything will come from his meeting with Feige: “I would imagine either there’s something he feels is right for me, or…”

And then it’s reported Pacino was interrupted by a phone call and added with a laugh, “Every time we talk about Marvel, that’s what happens.”

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” has a May 5, 2017 release.

Watch: James Gunn Talks Guardians of the Galaxy Villains: Thanos, Nebula & More

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:17993:]]

Check out James Gunn talking about the Guardians of the Galaxy villains with mention of Benicio Del Toro as The Collector, Josh Brolin as Thanos and Karen Gillan as Nebula.

One thing everybody seems to agree upon on is that we all would have liked to see more of Nebula, which James Gunn comments on.

Gunn also compares Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy to Boba Fett in Star Wars.
