Prince William & Harry Get Star Wars: Episode VIII Cameo Roles; Includes Benicio del Toro

A few days ago saw Prince William and Prince Harry visit the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Now it’s learned the royal pair participated in a scene which saw the two don Stormtrooper suits.

The UK’s Express received word the scene also involves Benicio del Toro.

Prince William and Prince Harry were surprised by director Rian Johnson who had them suit up as Stormtroopers where they played the parts alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Benicio del Toro. The scene is said to involve Rey and Finn infiltrating a secret base.

“The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry,” a source told the site.

It’s unknown if the scene will make the final cut, but it possibly suggests Benicio del Toro might be playing a good guy as he could be teaming with Rey and Finn. Of course, another possibility is that Rey and Finn have been captured by Benicio del Toro, and the Stormtroopers, played by Prince William and Harry, are there to assist. It’s rumored Benicio del Toro is playing a villain named Lord Vikram.

The report also says Prince William kept in his Stormtrooper guise as he gave a birthday cake to a member of the crew.

“The guy said it was surreal, being presented with a birthday cake by the future King of England who was dressed as a Stormtrooper,” the soure offered. “The Princes had a great time and could not have been more relaxed and friendly to everyone on set. It’s obvious they are genuine Star Wars fans.”

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” has a December 16, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.
