What are the Superman & Lois Season 4 details?

Season 4 will be the last and has a shortened season with 10 episodes.

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizbeth Tulloch will be back along with Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent and Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent. Michael Cudlitz will also be back as his version of Lex Luthor.

It has also been said that the remainder of the cast is exiting the series but could return in a guest starring role. Gone for Season 4 includes Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, and Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo, with Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons, and Tayler Buck who plays his daughter Natalie Irons also out.

No release date has been announced, and previously, it was reported Superman & Lois Season 4 won’t get released until after April to allow time for the VFX.

As we previously noted, it’s speculated the setting for Season 4 may move from Smallville to Metropolis, which would explain why none of the Smallville cast is returning and would still include Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor.

Deadline also previously offered that “in addition to trimming the cast, the series likely would lean more heavily into its core premise as a family drama going forward while still honoring its superhero roots.”

All the DC shows on The CW have been canceled as the network has been sold. James Gunn is also rebooting things with his DCU. David Corenswet is Gunn’s choice to play the new Man of Steel in Superman: Legacy which gets released July 11, 2025, so cancelling Superman & Lois isn’t a surprise.
