My Adventures With Superman Season 3 now has a release date, with Jack Quaid returning as Clark Kent when the DC animated series comes back to Adult Swim on June 13.
The new season premieres Saturday, June 13 at midnight ET/PT as part of Adult Swim’s Toonami anime/action block. Episodes will stream the next day on HBO Max.
The series comes from Warner Bros. Animation and continues the coming-of-age story centered on Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Kara Zor-El as they balance their lives at The Daily Planet with bigger threats tied to Superman’s future.
Jack Quaid Returns As Superman
Jack Quaid, known for The Boys, returns as Clark Kent/Superman for My Adventures With Superman Season 3.
He is joined by Alice Lee as Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, and Kiana Madeira as Kara Zor-El.
The series follows the group as twenty-somethings trying to figure out who they are, what they want, and what they can accomplish together while chasing stories for The Daily Planet.
Adult Swim is also positioning the new season as a bigger action entry for Toonami.
“This is the kind of show action-animation fans tune into Toonami for,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim. “Season three of My Adventures with Superman goes harder, looks bigger, and packs the emotional punch that makes this series such a standout.”
Season 3 Puts Superman’s Future At Risk
The official Season 3 synopsis teases Clark becoming more comfortable as Superman after making peace with his Kryptonian origins.
Clark is now ready to settle down, but Lois has other plans. She has become The Daily Planet’s star reporter and isn’t ready to slow down.
Jimmy has also moved from freelance photographer to celebrity journalist, but Kara’s arrival creates a new problem for him. He is intimidated by her romantic attention while Kara tries to find her place on Earth.
The new season is described as action, comedy, and romance-packed, with the found family facing powerful new enemies who challenge Superman, threaten their future, and test the bonds holding them together.
The synopsis asks whether the heroes can save their tomorrow before it destroys today:
Clark has truly become Superman and made peace with his Kryptonian origins – he’s ready to settle down! But Lois, who has finally become the Planet’s star reporter, is NOT. Kara Zor-El Takes A Bigger Role
Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) looks to be a major part of Season 3 after being introduced into the show’s world.
Her arrival gives the series another Kryptonian presence while also expanding the show beyond Clark’s own journey. The new season will explore how Kara fits on Earth, how she connects with the main cast, and what her presence means for Superman’s future.
That also gives Jimmy a new storyline, as the synopsis confirms Kara’s romantic interest leaves him rattled.
James Gunn And Peter Safran Executive Produce
My Adventures With Superman Season 3 is co-executive produced and showrun by Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher.
James Gunn, Peter Safran, and Sam Register executive produce the series, with Kimberly S. Moreau serving as producer.
The series returns at a time when DC Studios continues building out its Superman brand across film, TV, and animation. Season 3 gives Adult Swim and HBO Max another Superman project aimed at action-animation fans, with Quaid’s Man of Steel once again front and center.
