James Gunn and DC Studios have released a Superman poster ahead of Brazil’s CCXP which is likely coming ahead of the trailer release in December.
Though James Gunn has confirmed he will not be at CCXP, the following poster features comic book-inspired art of David Corneswet as the new DCU Man of Steel stopping a train and more powerful than a locomotive.
CCXP takes place Dec 5 – Dec 8, and Gunn has also confirmed DCU co-head Peter Safran won’t be at the event. The poster art is by George Quadros and Cleber Santos.
Update: James Gunn said it’s not an official poster on Threads:
When will the Superman trailer be released?
James Gunn and DC have yet to officially announce when the Superman trailer will be released.
Update: It’s claimed there are problems with the trailer.
The best guess is that the trailer will be released later in December in time for Christmas, possibly with the release of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King which gets released the weekend before Christmas on December 20, 2024.
Frank Grillo, who stars as Rick Flag Sr. has seen the Superman trailer and said the trailer is “great” and described David Corenswet as a “superstar.”
“I got a sneak peek at a little bit of the trailer, and I’m not joking, and I’m not blowing this out of proportion, my skin was hot and I had goosebumps. That’s how great it is,” he said in a recent interview.
Grillo continued, ““By the way, this kid, David [Corenswet], is going to be a superstar. A superstar. He’s amazing, as is the rest of the cast in the film, and just James’ take on it. I think it’s gonna be the movie.”

DC’s Official Synopsis
The film tells the story of Superman as he struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. A symbol of truth, justice, and the American way, Superman embodies human kindness in a world increasingly dismissive of such values.
