During The Game Awards, Illumination and Nintendo dropped a surprise teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, showcasing the first real look at Mario and Luigi going head-to-head with Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr. Gets a Power-Up
The teaser reveals Bowser Jr. in full cosmic battle gear, his purple, glowing armor marked by a jagged lightning emblem across his chest.
In one of the standout moments, Bowser Jr. twists his signature mop, which crackles with energy and morphs into a massive spiked morning star.
He swings the weapon with brutal force, slamming Mario head-on and sending him flying across the palace hall, establishing Bowser Jr. as a serious physical threat rather than comic relief.
Luigi follows up with a knee to Bowser Jr.’s face and snout.
The cast
The movie features returning voice actors Chris Pratt (Mario), Charlie Day (Luigi), Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek), with Brie Larson joining as Princess Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr.
