Star Wars: Episode IX officially finished filming today as director J.J. Abrams lets the news be known by posting an image of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega andĀ Oscar Isaac.
āIt feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. Iām forever indebted to you all,ā Abrams tweeted.
The image features three of Abramsā new Star Wars characters that he introduced in The Force Awakens with Rey, Finn and Poe. Worth a mention is that Disney and Abrams have still yet to reveal the official title or drop the first footage.

Grant,Ā Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian. The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for The Force Awakens.
