A new featurette for Spider-Noir has dropped, pulling back the curtain on the series’ lineup of villains and how Marvel’s rogues are being reimagined in 1933 New York.
The upcoming live-action series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a hardened private investigator known as The Spider, battling organized crime and powered threats in a Prohibition-era alternate universe. Watch below. New posters have also debuted.

Silvermane Runs the Underworld
The main threat is mob boss Silvermane, played by Brendan Gleeson.
According to the featurette, Silvermane has controlled organized crime for 30 years. After someone burns down his mansion, tensions explode. He’s described as power-hungry and psychopathic, but also smarter than the typical crime lord.
Silvermane isn’t just another gangster. He’s the center of a larger conspiracy that pulls The Spider deeper into the criminal underworld.

Sandman and Tombstone Get Noir Makeovers
Jack Huston plays Sandman, described as “the ultimate anti-hero.” His powers are both his strength and his curse, adding a tragic edge to the character.
Abraham Popoola takes on Tombstone, who is said to be more layered and grounded than previous versions.
The featurette hints that something more nefarious is unfolding behind the scenes, tying classic comic book villains into a darker, street-level story.
Andrew Lewis Caldwell also appears as Megawatt, adding another powered presence to the mix.

A Different Spider-Man
The featurette emphasizes this is not the traditional Spider-Man story. This version of The Spider operates in a separate dimension, shaped by dangerous gangsters and 1930s noir aesthetics.
Cage’s character even admits, “Spider was never a hero. I only did it for the thrill,” before being challenged with the idea that there’s still time to become one.
The tone leans into moral gray areas, heavy danger, and the sense that this is only the beginning of a much bigger conflict.
