The voice actor behind Peter Parker and Spidey in the upcoming Disney+ Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series says the show is not woke.
Speaking with Collider, Hudson Thames, said the following:
“I thought it was awesome. I mean, my biggest fear was that it was gonna be annoying and woke, and it wasn’t, and I was like, ‘Yes, this is great, it’s so well written,’ like it feels real. I’m the oldest of five boys, so I feel like I kind of know what’s happening in their lives and in high school, and it felt like it was doing that justice.”

While Hudson Thames claims the show is not woke, it sure seems like it. They race-swapped Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn, and Harry also happens to look gay and/or trans. They’ve also added a bunch of “diverse” characters.

In the comics, the characters are not POC, gay, trans, or DEI.
Typically what happens when they race swap or change the original characters and story, the reason is to send a “message,” which is woke. Hollywood has been infected by the woke mind virus for years now.

However, fans have completely rejected the woke nonsense as IPs like Disney’s Star Wars and Marvel have all failed. Doctor Who is also a huge disaster. The list goes on and on. How’d it work out for The Marvels? A recent report just confirmed that viewership for both Star Wars and Marvel underperformed last year. Fans just want quality entertainment without the agenda.
What’s the point of race swapping Harry and Norman Osborn? And Green Goblin? What it does is erase decades and decades of history and work from legendary creators. All for what? So some woke producer can validate them/their existence? Click. Change the channel.
