Robert Pattinson Teases The Batman: Part II Shoot — ’11 Weeks Of Nights’

The Batman: Part II is finally filming after years of delays, and Robert Pattinson’s latest comments give fans an idea of just how brutal the shoot is going to be.

Speaking in a new GQ profile before cameras started rolling, Pattinson teased the long-awaited sequel, revealed a brutal-sounding production schedule, and said he was already back in training for his return as Gotham’s Dark Knight.

The Batman: Part II Is Getting Ready For A Brutal Night Shoot

Pattinson said he recently heard from the stunt team about what the shoot is going to involve, and it sounds rough.

According to the actor, the stunt coordinator told him to get ready for “11 weeks of nights,” meaning nearly three months of overnight filming.

For a Batman movie, that tracks. Matt Reeves’ first film leaned hard into Gotham’s rain-soaked, late-night crime story feel, and it sounds like the sequel won’t be moving away from that approach.

Pattinson joked that he still hadn’t even received the official schedule yet, but the fact that the stunt team is already warning him about the night shoots is a strong sign the movie is moving into serious prep.

Robert Pattinson Is Training Again For Batman

Pattinson also told GQ he is training again, using a home gym as he gets ready to put the Batsuit back on.

The detail is worth pointing out because Pattinson’s physique became a talking point around the first movie.

The actor previously pushed back on the idea that he didn’t work out for The Batman, saying he trained constantly despite joking in interviews that he wasn’t taking the usual superhero workout routine seriously.

This time, the training is right there in the profile. Pattinson is preparing for the role, and with “11 weeks of nights” ahead, he’ll probably need it.

The Batman: Part II Appears To Be Shooting In London

Prior to the start of filming, Pattinson also indicated the sequel will shoot in London, near the Leavesden studios where Warner Bros. is producing its new Harry Potter TV series.

That led to a funny full-circle moment for Pattinson, who played Cedric Diggory in the original Harry Potter movies.

He noted there is a school on the lot for child actors and joked that it might end up being where his young daughter first goes to school.

Why The Batman Sequel Has Taken So Long

The Batman: Part II has been a long wait. The first movie hit theaters in 2022, but the follow-up has been pushed back multiple times while Reeves continued developing the story.

Pattinson said the delays left him with room to take on other projects, and he ended up doing a lot of movies in the gap. That run includes Die My Love, Dune: Part Three, and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

Reeves has been working on the sequel in the meantime, with the movie expected to continue the grounded noir-detective take that helped make the first film stand out from other superhero movies.

Pattinson’s Batman Return Finally Looks Real

After years of delays, Pattinson’s comments make The Batman: Part II feel much closer than it has in a long time.

The “11 weeks of nights” comment, the training update, and the London shoot all point in the same direction: Pattinson is getting ready to return to Gotham.

Fans have been waiting since 2022 to see where Reeves takes this Batman next. Now it finally sounds like the wait is starting to pay off.

The Batman: Part II gets released on October 1, 2027, directed by Matt Reeves, who recently announced the new cast.
