The first trailer for Red Sonja has arrived, offering a glimpse at the new take on the classic sword-and-sorcery heroine. Red Sonja releases in theaters on August 15, followed by a digital release on August 29.

What’s the Red Sonja Movie About?
Red Sonja, played by Matilda Lutz, is a barbarian huntress who finds herself enslaved by a ruthless tyrant bent on wiping out her people. To stop him, Sonja gathers a group of unlikely warriors to take on the villain Dragan The Magnificent and his deadly bride, Dark Annisia.
