Prime Video has officially renewed the hit series Reacher for a fourth season, following the tremendous success of its second season, which became the most viewed 2023 release on the platform.
As fans eagerly await the third season, set to debut in 2025, Prime Video also announced last week a new spinoff series starring Maria Sten, titled The Untitled Neagley Project.
The second season’s viewership catapulted Reacher into one of Prime Video’s biggest hits. Previous seasons of the show, based on Lee Child’s globally popular book series, are available in more than 240 countries and territories.
Season three of Reacher, which stars Alan Ritchson, is based on the seventh book in the series, Persuader. This season, Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant being held by a mysterious figure from his past. The action-packed series will see the return of Maria Sten and the addition of new cast members, including Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters.
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations, and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series, including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios.”
The series, based on Lee Child’s novels, is written by Emmy-nominated Nick Santora (FUBAR, Prison Break), who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Alongside Santora and Child, the show’s executive producers include Alan Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid oversee the series for Skydance Television.
With the growing Reacher universe, fans have much to look forward to, both with the upcoming third season and the highly anticipated spinoff starring Maria Sten.
