New York Comic Con (NYCC) wrapped another record-breaking weekend at the Javits Center as over 250,000 fans packed the venue from October 9–12, 2025. The four-day event delivered everything from celebrity appearances and exclusive previews to top comic creators and cosplay competitions.
According to New York City Tourism + Conventions, the show generated an estimated $35 million boost to the city’s economy. Organizers also confirmed that NYCC 2026 will take place October 8–11, 2026, marking the convention’s 20th anniversary.
Major Panels and Star Power
This year’s NYCC hosted major premieres and panels from across the entertainment industry, including:
- HBO/HBO Max’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
- Apple TV+’s Slow Horses
- Prime Video’s Cross and Hazbin Hotel
- FX’s Alien: Earth and The Beauty
- HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry
- Paramount Pictures’ The Running Man
- AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
- Paramount+’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy
- Netflix’s Jurassic World: Chaos Theory
Fans also saw appearances from James McAvoy, Elliot Page, Sigourney Weaver, Simu Liu, Laurence Fishburne, and Bryce Dallas Howard, along with voice talent from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Bob’s Burgers, and Critical Role.
Comics fans turned out for packed sessions including MARVEL COMICS: Spider-Man and His Venomous Friends, MARVEL COMICS: Next Big Thing, DC Comics: Gotham City, and AWA’s Ronda Rousey spotlight tied to her debut graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected.
Show Floor and Artist Alley
The NYCC show floor featured over 650 exhibitors offering exclusive collectibles and merch from Funko, Bandai, Marvel, Capcom, Penguin Random House, Scholastic, and Webtoon.
Artist Alley drew over 500 creators, including George R.R. Martin, J. Scott Campbell, Jeph Loeb, Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Joe Hill, Stephanie Phillips, and Denys Cowan, among others.

Cosplay Competition Winners
The Cosplay Central Crown Championships qualifier on October 11 showcased some of the best craftsmanship and creativity at the show.
- First Place: Say No to Scrunchies (The Last of Us wall clicker)
- Second Place & Fan Favorite: Annie Ex Machina (Critical Role’s Mollymauk Tealeaf)
- Third Place: Akellyz (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom)
Category winners included Warheart Cosplay (Gears of War), Honeybird Cosplay (Hook), and Rotten Artist (Dead by Daylight). Judges Sayakat Cosplay, Silhouette, and May Jean Cosplay scored entries on design, accuracy, and performance.
