While accepting trophies on stage, MTV Movie & TV Awards winners have the opportunity to thank their moms, their directors, Beyoncé, and their fans (of course!). But what if those stars could talk to fans directly? Simple Mobile is bringing fans The Fan Cam Live on MTV’s Facebook page to give participating talent the chance to respond directly to fan shout outs and comments as they step backstage. With the guidance of host, Jeffery Self, celebs will appear live on Facebook moments after they won (or performed or presented!) an award on air. They will interact with a moderated cue of fan comments and questions, which will appear on a large screen or monitor – a simple, but powerful way to speak directly to the audience in real time backstage for the duration of the live show.
The Pre-Party: “MTV Movie & TV Awards Festival,” “Teen Mom OG and “Lip Sync Battle”: MTV is giving movie and TV superfans the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be a part of Young Hollywood’s hottest party of the year with the inaugural “MTV Movie & TV Awards Festival” on Sunday, May 7 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. PT. The network is transforming the grounds outside of the Shrine Auditorium into a massive party for thousands of fans including full sets by All Time Low, Zara Larsson and Bea Miller, along with major celebrity red carpet interviews on stage and exclusive sneak peeks from of today’s hottest movies and TV shows. The event will be hosted by Terrence J and MTV News correspondent Gaby Wilson. Throughout the festival, the duo will also be featured in live on-air hits and on the official livestream on MTV.com.
“Teen Mom OG” will air on Sunday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT prior to the “2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards.” In the all-new episode, Amber continues to be frustrated that she doesn’t have Leah as much as she wants, while Ryan’s girlfriend Mackenzie encourages him to communicate more with Maci about Bentley’s schedule. Cate surprises Tyler with a winter getaway, and Simon helps Farrah search for a new home on the west coast.
Immediately following “Teen Mom OG,” MTV will air a Spider-Man edition of “Lip Sync Battle” at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, leading into the “MTV Movie & TV Awards” at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The stars of the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Zendaya and Tom Holland, will battle it out on the “Lip Sync Battle” stage.
